How much will a website cost?

This is a how-long-is-a-piece-of-string question. It really depends what kind of string you want and what you want to do with it. Having said that, a lot of sites fall into a few broad categories for which a total cost can be estimated.

To give you some idea

A single page "web presence" site costs a minimum of £100.

A 5-page site is likely to cost from £250. This depends on all the pages having a similar look and feel.

Anything beyond this is subject to negotiation.

Some things which will add to the cost : complex graphics, lots of graphics, lots of text, frames, Flash, fill-in forms, sound, animation, etc.

Maintenance

Minor changes and additions could cost as little as £10 apiece - all maintenance work is charged for at an hourly rate. This includes "repair and rescue" for existing sites.
